The Monsters of The Forest

Postby Shawn Lewis » Thu Mar 18, 2010 12:25 am

I'm very new to the Forest and I have to say, in the Glade we only really had to deal with Rats, and they were bad enough, but it seems here in the Forest, there is a much larger group of bad things to deal with. I mean, crickets, that big bird that tried to get into the tavern looked like it could have taken on Owl! But I am curious as to what were all the creatures that came into town this past gathering?

Magpie,

One of our more prolific places of learning the Library currently has all the information that you are wishing to learn. Simply seek that out and begin looking for books on current creatures of the forest.

I've attempted to write a bestiary of creatures in the forest, though it is not quite complete. There is also a transcription of The Sword of the Mists which details many of the monsters from the Realm of Castles. Both of these can be found in the library, and would be a good place to start.

Actually, I'm curious about some things too that probably aren't in the library. For example, what was that exchange between the Monkey King and the Oni? I was too far away to hear what they were saying.

And there is one thing i was lost on too. Some of the fighters had said something about the monsters chanting something that gave the monkey king a "headache"? What was that?

Honored friends all,

A Scholar would ask that any who wish clarification on the chanting contact the Scholar directly. While a Scholar has no wish to keep anything secret or obfuscate any truth the simple matter is that it is prudent to know to whom a Scholar gives such information to rather than leaving a general message on this tree where anyone of any moral character, or lack there of, may read it.
